This Group Experience is designed for outgoing tourists, couples, families, friends etc who want to try something different. 
 
As this is a 2, 3 or 4 person booking, you can choose Weekdays or Saturdays.

Private Class - for 2, 3 or 4 people
Want to try Woodturning? I am offering you a private group session 
 
I have 4 lathes ready for guest use and I will be working on another. 3 people will be on large lathes and 1 will be on a smaller lathe, you may swap lathes during the session if you wish.  A 3 person class is ideal for the size of my workshop but a 4th can be accomodated easily enough as I have more than enough lathes. 
 
Standard Tuition 
Standard Tuition starts with basic turning between centres and goes from there.  This is for those with a more serious interest in Woodwork/Woodturning or those just up for a challenge by learning a challenging new skill.
 
Students can bring their own requests but here's a list of topics I can give a brief introduction to:
Wood drying and selection
Safety instruction
Lathes, Tools and sharpening
Turning will be between centres or in a 4 jaw chuck depending on your ability.
You can take your project piece home.
 
You will be instructed using professional tools and professional lathes.
You will be given safety gear (Visors, dust masks etc) to use during the class.
Wood will be provided and you can take your project away at the end
 
Students who have asthma or alergies to dust, please take advice first before booking a class.
Please wear old clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting dusty and dirty.
 
All advice on safety must be strictly adhered to on the day.
