Barrel Inspired Ring Dish in Irish Hardwood – Tralee Ash🌿
Keep your favourite rings, earrings, cufflinks or small jewellery pieces safe in style with this handcrafted Irish Ash ring dish. Compact enough for a bedside table, dressing table, bathroom shelf or hallway, it is a simple but useful little piece of Irish woodcraft.
 
It also makes a lovely small handmade gift for men, especially for storing cufflinks, rings, collar studs, tie pins or other small everyday items.
 
The Wood 🌿
This ring dish is made from Irish Ash sourced in Tralee, Co. Kerry.
I make these from spindle blank off-cuts, which helps me reduce waste in the workshop while turning smaller pieces of good Irish wood into affordable, functional gift items.
 
Ash is a strong, pale hardwood with lovely natural grain and plenty of character. Every piece reveals its own markings and grain patterns, making each dish unique.
 
Every ring dish is turned freehand in my workshop in Tralee, Co. Kerry.
 
Finish & Detail
This piece has two fine lines cut and burned into the outside, adding a simple decorative detail to the shape.
 
It has also been highlighted with Gold Wax, which compliments the grain and adds a subtle flash of colour while still allowing the natural Ash to show through.
 
The dish is finished with several coats of wax and buffed to a smooth, tactile finish.

● Height: approximately 37mm
● Width: approximately 63mm
● Weight: approximately 44g
 
The inner cradle is approximately 54mm wide x 20mm deep.
 
Compact enough for everyday use, but still substantial enough to feel like a quality handmade piece. These are larger than my previous designs.

These ring dishes can be supplied in two different gift box styles:
● Transparent cube gift box – shows the piece clearly and makes a lovely presentation.
● Ivory silk cube gift box – a more traditional presentation box for a slightly more elegant look.
 
Both options make the piece ideal for birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, Mother’s Day,
 
Christmas, or small special gifts.
