The Wood 🌿
The top is made from locally sourced Sessile Oak from Killorglin Co. Kerry. Spalted Beech is prized for its dramatic natural patterns created during the spalting process, meaning every piece has its own distinctive grain and character.The wood has been carefully dried and finished in my workshop in Tralee, Co. Kerry.
Finish
The wood is polished to a smooth high-gloss finish using:
● Sanding Sealer
● Hampshire Sheen Gloss
● Three layers of wax buffed to a rich shine
The result is a warm, tactile finish that highlights the natural beauty of the wood.
Stainless Steel Stopper.
The stopper itself is made from US food-safe stainless steel and fitted with FDA-approved O-rings, ensuring a secure seal for your bottle while remaining completely safe for use with food and drink.

Packaging 🎁
Each bottle stopper comes supplied in a black velvet drawstring bag, making it ideal for gifting. Many customers choose to buy a second stopper as a gift or for another bottle, especially as it makes better use of the shipping.
How to Use
● Lightly wet the O-ring or insert the stopper into a damp bottle neck.
● Insert the stopper and turn it clockwise until a seal is achieved.
● A simple twist is enough, there’s no need to force the stopper in.
Care Instructions
To keep your bottle stopper looking its best:
● Avoid contact between the wood and liquids.
● Clean the stainless steel section with mild detergent on a cloth.
● Wipe the wooden top dry if it becomes splashed when washing the stainless steel.
