From time to time, when I cut my standard 3" Beech woodturning blanks, I’m left with shorter offcuts from the ends of the plank.
These pieces are different from my usual 12", 16" or 18" spindle blank listings, but they are still useful pieces of Beech for the right projects. Rather than leaving them sitting in the workshop, I’m offering them as assorted offcut packs for woodturners who can make use of smaller, irregular or non-standard pieces.
They are a good option for beginner and hobby woodturners who want affordable practice wood, small project blanks, test pieces, or useful extra bits of Beech for the workshop.
Some turners may find these shorter assorted lengths more useful than a full 12", 16" or 18" blank, especially for smaller projects or work already planned around specific sizes.
Possible uses include:
● practice cuts
● tool control exercises
● jam chucks
● small boxes
● knobs or handles
● light pulls
● finials
● testing finishes, dyes or sanding methods● cutting down further for pen blanks or smaller projects
Each pack is sold as shown in the photo.
