Ideal tool for creating depth cuts in spindles. The diamond shape cuts down on friction. A relief cut is still advised to take the pressure off the tool edges when cutting deep. This tool is used at 90 degrees to the wood surface.
 
The Diamond Parting Tool has a flattened diamond cross section which cuts down on side friction, this reduces heat build up against the sides of the tool.
Made from M2 Steel.
Handle - Beech.
Width - 3/16" or roughly 5mm
Length of Handle - 10", Overall steel and handle length = 17''
 
Please note that this tool has a factory edge and needs to be sharpened correctly before being used.
